From the start of this project, I was worried about how I was going to be able to form my composition - how it would make sense in the end, but pushing on it started to come together. Starting with a basic set of sounds, I got started looping and cutting tracks to fit together, copying and pasting until it made some sort of sense. My original intent on creating a specific space with sound ultimately failed, rather using what I gathered and embracing the result they gave. With a set of keys and various sounds I gathered from the combined folder (and around my apartment) I was able to create a soundscape that resembled a familiar sound of everyday life. The relaxing process of coming home after a long day and settling in is something that we all know. As the sound continues, with the opening and closing of doors, scenes are set and composed using varying sounds to emphasize key elements of the space. In all honesty this project was not my favorite, but the future application of this process and the understanding of this software is something that will be extremely beneficial for future projects - experience with many forms of media is something that I am always striving towards.
